@jeffbatpa24 Why wouldn't everyone want them. They have a huge fan base, they're on TV all the time, but more importantly, you know that if you have half of decent team, that will be an easy win. Even with a sorry FSU team, you still can beat them. Ha Ha

@jeffbatpa24 By elite, you mean overrated. If Notre Lame is elite, then, so is Miami. What exactly is a coach contract clause have to do with them being elite. A coach left the a great college football program in SEC, granted they were down, to USC. But you know what that means nothing if USC does compete with the elite. Yes, no college program dominates like they use to, but Notre Lame is not even relevant as far as winning. Losing to a sorry FSU team. Yeah that's elite

@petion2010 No...they will never do minate like they once did....but no one else does either..so much for that comment. It is STILL the elite program in college football. I dont see coaches having an out clause in their contracts to go coach at LSU...Alabama...FLorida...USC. I will be more than happy to continue this if you like.

@petion2010 well I guess time will tell wont it? They still are the team everyone wants to see and hear about. Keep bringing up Army and Navy and all the others. What about Florida playing Vanderbilt...FSU playing Georgia Southern or Valdosta State..D2 I might add. I guess that's ok. They arent elite but they have fan clubs all over the world. I for one would LOVE to see them in the SEC but they dont need a conference...everyone wants them on their schedule.

@jeffbatpa24 I'm pretty sure in 5 years they're still gonna win game against the Boston College, Purdue, Army, Navy, and Syracuse of the World, and probably make it to a BCS Bowl game with 3 lost. They're still not gonna good to win if they were to join a legitimate conference.

@jeffbatpa24 What the hell all this nonsense has to do with my claim that they're not an elite team and will never dominate college football again like they did in the past. There was a time when, a recruit needed them to be on TV or have a better chance to make to the NFL, now hell no. The top draft picks and best players aren't from Notre Dame anymore. People still talk about them because of tradition and the fact that they can't let go of the past. they're the Dallas Cowboys of CF.

@petion2010 they wont compete in recruiting?? Like hell they won't. I dont like Kelly much but he had a top 10 class this year. Still not sure who your team is....but Im sure I can talk shit about them if I did. It is good for the country when ND is good,....not my words but SI's. They are the Yankees of college football and always will be...just a fact. They suck...people talk about them. Always in the news...under the microscope. NO team comes close to that.
