My wife Wendy and I went to Hawaii (Oahu) to get married, and, of course, a trip to Hawaii would never be complete without including a skydive in the plans!
There are two highly reputed skydiving facilities there on Oahu, Skydive Hawaii and Pacific Skydiving. They both share the same runway, and their buildings are only a few hundred feet apart. Merely by luck of the draw on this vacation, we ended up at this one, and they treated us very nicely. They seemed to be very well organized signing everybody up, preparing them for the skydive, and keeping planeloads scheduled in a timely manner to keep all the tourists happy. Because of all the tourists that go to Hawaii, both of these skydive facilities offer convenient transportation by van to and from your hotel accomodations in Honolulu, which was about a 45 minute drive away on the other side of the island.
Basically, you could see the excited faces of myself and the group of people that I jumped with that day, as we all climbed aboard the Cessna Caravan. I especially liked how this video showed me and the videographer Nicole high-fiving in midair.
One could say that I 'took the plunge' two days in a row - as here I took that skydive, and the next day, my wife Wendy and I got married! Again, many 'Thanks!' to both Brian and Nicole at Skydive Hawaii!
