Excerpts from a Torah service, showing an aliyah (a member of our congregation called up to bless God and read from the Torah), the ceremony of lifting up the Torah (which Moses wrote at the command of the Lord), and the congregant giving a drash or personal interpretation of the portion she read--in this case, from Leviticus (Vayikra) 16, concerning Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). Beit Simcha has participatory Torah services once a month, with three members reading from the weekly portion of Torah (five books of Moses), one reading from the Haftarah (prophets) and one reading from the Brit Chadashah (New Covenant), then sharing drashot afterwards. Also once a month the Rebbitzin reads from the Torah and the Rabbi comments on the portion in his sermon. Visit www.beitsimcha.org to learn more about our congregation and Messianic Judaism.

  • Please stop using deception! if you want to tell people about the J guy ok fine this is a free country but please do not lie to Jews, christians, and yourselves!

  • Beautiful! I am so glad that so many are still singing the scriptures as it is to be done!

For everyone else, did you know that when you 'say' a Divine name it is considered blasphemy and improper? The correct way you speak a Divine name is by singing it, or vibrating it.

Let us raise our voices and let all the Earth Adore Him!
