Level: Sierra de Chiapas (Part One)
Difficulty: Normal
Secrets in this part: Seven
Secrets: Twelve

It's good to be back! Everything seems a lot more greener this time around. I've even forgotten what the colour of sand looks like.

At the crash site, Sam makes a phone call to 'Blondie' (Duke Nukem) in Las Vegas. He's informed he isn't around and will show up when he's done. You see 3D Realms? If you hadn't taken all that time striving for FPS perfection then Croteam wouldn't have to mock you. I'm on their side, the sly dig is well justified now.

Finally, ignore the 'Press USE to read the message!' message that keeps showing up after a new area is discovered, a new enemy is killed or a new weapon is picked up. I didn't want to break up the action by scrolling through these messages.

It does go away eventually after it realises my ignorance knows no bounds.

----------------------------------------

Secret One: At the start, dive down into the lake to collect a Secret Rocket Launcher (0:19) in a lit spot towards the bottom.

Secret Two: As you resurface, look toward the small grassy area (opposite the wooden pier) and approach it. There is some Secret Armor (0:45) lying in wait.

Secret Three: In the same area, you should notice a Secret Phone Booth (0:50) tucked away in a corner. Enter it. You can make a call to an old 'friend' if you so wish.

Secret Four: When you reach the other end of the valley, veer left from the entrance to the courtyard. Around the corner, towards the bottom of the mountain are the remains of a Secret Crate Bus (5:05 - 5:43).

Secret Five: From Secret Four, continue straight up the embankment to discover some Secret Rockets (5:54).

Secret Six: As you head back towards the courtyard, there is a darker shaded patch of the temple wall which you can destroy with a Rocket to reveal a Secret Entrance (6:37). Unfortunately, this also releases the Croteam Heads who will nag you endlessly. I'm not an advocate of violence but you should know what to do with those Colts...

Secret Seven: Enter the passage made accessible in Secret Six to discover a Secret 'Hall of Fame' and some Rockets. A Croteam Head will emerge onto a stage to show you a five hour presentation over something mundane. After he's boxed off the stage, a tribute to all the folks at Seriously! along with some avant-garde disco music follows (7:15 - 9:05).

  • U forgot about the secret tommygun =)

  • @TortugaII Not in this game. That was a new Secret added for the HD version.

  • hello I liked the video ^ ^, can you help me?

I had minimized the Serious sam to see video but when I started again SS appeared "Paused". I know it is stupid question but how to disable this "Paused"?

  • Funnily enough, the same thing has happened to me on a few occasions.

On your keyboard, there will be a Pause/Break button; it's usually situated next to the Print Screen button.

Pressing the Pause/Break button should unpause the game. It worked for me anyway.

  • @galleyuk Hey. Are there any secret levels in The Second Encounter just like First Encounter, secret levels like Moon Mountains and Sacred yards?

  • @UnexplainedDirge Nope, there are none.
