The way he picks the high E gives his sweeping a really cool, articulate sound. Say what you will about his music (I'd be lying if I said I was a fan), but Rusty is a technical mastermind!

well hes just combining the various major arpeggio inversions. Becker did this a lot too, no doubt where rusty got it from. Also loomis is a huge fan of rusty's and has his instructional series but he could have learned this anywhere.
