Loved this! The Tex Avery MGM Droopy cartoon makles a pefect accompanient for this Hank Williams tune...which is my favorite of his. I think this could easily be called a early "rockabilly" song....just listen to those guitar riffs - regular guitar & steel guitar! Classic stuff! THANKS for sharing...and may you & yours have your HAPPIEST holiday season ever! :)

I'm aware of when Hank Williams passed. We are debating when Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley was recorded.

Two things they don't play on TV anymore... Hank Williams songs and old cartoons. They don't even play the old Warner Brothers or old Disney cartoons. So getting them in one dose sure is nostalgic

This one i THINK is SLY wolf... Tex Avery has several we know of...Remeber the Howling wolf??? Whistling at the girl? But there is another wolf with Droopy that always has red eyes and says "man" alot...All three wolfs have different personalitys.

Jerry Lee Lewis once said, ''Had Hank Williams had control over his recordings, Rock n Roll would have happened in the late 40's in Alabama/Louisiana''. Hank Williams was not a Rock singer, but he was the final link between country/blues/gospel and what was to become Rock n Roll and ''Move it on over'' was the final link in what was to become a Rock song.
