Samsung i640V (i640) Mobile Phone

This is the Vodafone Edition of the samsung i620, called i640v or just i640. At first I was a little bit disappointed but now I think it is a real cool phone. It is small, but a little bit thick. It is an HSDPA capable 3.5G slider phone with an unusual 320 x 240 pixel display.

Internal memory is stated to be 141MB and this is expandable with microSD cards. As with many Samsung devices, the i640 is tri-band GSM only with 2100 MHz WCDMA for 3G and 3.5G support. Physically, the i640 measures 95 x 61 x 16mm and weighs 126 grams. Devices that are not so thick, are mostly longer and without slider. It is one of the smallest smartphones today.

It has no Wifi, GPS or a touch screen. But a really handy full qwerty keyboard and windows mobile 6.

Really nice device, but too bad that the manufacture is not really perfect. It is massive, but in closed mode the bottom slacks a little bit. It is less than one millimetre.

Can ask you something? I am thinking about getting this phone, and what I wanted to know is, if you can change the display looks? Like, you have it in blue/white and I wanted to know if that is changeable .

Yes, you can change the color themes. But there is not much. Only blue, red and green. You can install other themes from the net for WM6, but the look mostly awful.

This phone is really cute and looks nice, but I hated windows mobile on it. WM is made for touchscreens and not for smartphones. Today in the days of the iphone is ergonomy fundamental and this feels so "raped".

I have the "endless-battery" phone (Nokia E71) with Symbian S60V3 and I love it more, than i ever loved this phone.

Yes, but maybe there is the spectec wifi micro sd card soon.

The sound is not really loud because there is only a small speaker at the back of the device.

I don´t need a loud phone so it is enough for me.

The videoplay is good, but this phone has around 200 Mhz, so it must be good.

I like the small "dice", but that little play is annoying when you talk with it, because it slacks in your hands.

Another interesting phone is the Nokia E71. It has chrome parts and QWERTY, GPS, WiFi, UMTS.

yeah but still it has the desing of a nokia...I like Samsung cose of it's desing,you know,he sliding desing with the cute ornaments on it,it's a bit more stylish than the nokia handset,that one looks a bit more buisness & I don't liek that,I'm 20 years old & I want a fun life not a serious,buisness one lol...anyway when you have time just upload some more flicks of your phone ;;D

I sold that phone some months ago. The quality is not so perfekt. I have the Nokia and it looks more boring, but the quality is top. Also there is a white version, that looks more stylish. But hey, watch out for a motoaura, thats REALLY stylish! ;-)

For any software problem or forgotten passwords or anything else use this code *2767*3855# (full hard reset).

Follow the steps below:

1)Remove sim card

2)Backup your data

3)Remove micro sd memory card

4)Use this code *2767*3855#

5)Device will restart two times

6)Brand new fresh Windows like first time :)

I just bought this fone 2 months back i liked the style but my camer was working at the beggining but now its says like "unable to connect external camera" Please help to activate this fone with my camera in it.
