"I will only be doing a booklet once my truck is done as I want the booklet to be comprehensive and scalable."
Excellent.
Do keep us interested amatuers in the loop; i'd be interested in buying that booklet.
Oh and in addition to comprehensive and scalable, how about low-to-medium tech. so I dont have to try to learn stainless steel welding in order to make a clean gasifier.

i can see the wood chipper going now! using sustainable thinking can make one wealthy at the soul lol

Thank you so much for doing the video real time. It gives a real sense of how impressive your new set up is. Full flare in under two minutes. if there were a gasification Olympics youd have just won the gold.

Now give us an efficiency break down, kilos of woodchips to stored electrical energy in a battery.
Id say your about 3 'refining' cycles away from a retail product here. Small, clean and the engineering looks good.
I could probably be talked into spending 2000€ for a nice stainless steel version that could load into the back of the truck and run the 2.25L (50kW) engine.

As far as numbers go, I'd rather cook and eat beans than count them. Others have documented the efficiency of gasifiers such as in the world bank or FAO documents. Each gasifier is more or less efficient depending mainly on how well tuned it is for producing hydrogen from the moisture in the biomass, how well it cracks tars, and the balance of too much or too little slip char etc. I will only be doing a booklet once my truck is done as I want the booklet to be comprehensive and scalable.

are you using wood pellets ?
I never could get a flame that blue with any thing else you can take a look at mine at sheltrown1117

I cannot remember if this video is with pellets or chips but I get the same shade of blue either way. The pellets are more dense so I get more runtime but otherwise, they both run great.

The way the Hopper is constructed, the condensate runs down the lid to the back, the walls to a moat and down the back to the baby food jar under the hopper. I used plumbing epoxy to connect the jar to the pipe.
