Maiden Love Part 4
It has been a week and I already was walking toward a third village, why ? because I tried to find a job in the two previous one, but I didnt find. And a woman told me that I would probably found one in this one because it was near the kings castle.
Even thought I knew the last thing my father wanted me to do was to live in village or worst near the castle , I didnt have any other choice.
When I finally arrived I was stunned, no wonder this village was near the castle, it was way bigger than the two previous one and there was more people and their clothes were nicer than mine even thought they were maidens as me.
After walking in a few shops where I tried to get a job I finally decided to go in a last one, people here was discouraging me. I sighed and wished that I would be able to find a job here. I was tired after a week traveling around even thought the kingdom was way bigger than the small distance between my house and this village, I was weak and I didnt eat anything since the day before yesterday because I didnt have food anymore, and I didnt have money to get some.
As I walked in the shop I saw people looking at me, I gulped before walking toward a man who looked like the boss *excuse me ?* he turned around and looked at me *yeah ?* *hmm, I was wondering if you needed help ? Im searching for a job* he looked at me up and down *no* he turned around
I sighed *please I really need it and Im hard worker* he turned back around and glared at me *are you deaf maiden ? I said no. now leave before I call the guards* I sighed *Im sorry for bothering you sir* I turned around and walked out. Again I didnt find a job.
*excuse me ?* I turned around to see a woman smiling politely at me, *yeah ?* she grabbed an apple from her basket and handed it to me *thank you madam* she smiled at me *I heard what my husband said to you, for sure we dont need any new worker, but why dont you try in the castle ? I know that they always hire new maids because of the king* *thank you* she smiled again at me before leaving.
What was I supposed to do ? coming here was a bad idea, and working as a maid in the castle was worst. What would my father say ?
