"Ugly Betty" Actor Kills Mother With Sword

"Ugly Betty" Actor Michael Brea was charged Tuesday for stabbing his mother to death with a 3-foot ceremonial sword.

Authorities responding to a family dispute call found 55-year-old Yannick Brea kneeling in the bathroom of her Brooklyn apartment at 2:20am with cuts to her head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said, "In a bedroom was her son... with a 3-foot sword."

The 31-year-old Brea was reportedly screaming Bible passages during the an altercation between him and his mother. A neighbor heard repeated screams of "Repent, repent, sinner, sinner" and "You never accepted Jesus." Family friend Sylvan Benoit confirmed that Brea was a member of the Freemasons and had been to a group meeting earlier in the evening.

The actor was arrested for murder and possession of a weapon and is undergoing psychiatric evaluation at a hospital, where, according to Fox News, he blurted out, "When I looked at my mother, I saw the devil."

What he did was TOTALLY against the Christian religion. The Bible teaches Christians to love one another, to forgive, and not to murder. We are to FORGIVE sinners, not kill them! Just because this man called himself a Christian and then done this, does not mean AT ALL that this is what all Christians do. So all of you people that know nothing about the Christian faith, just stop. Has anyone stopped to think that this man is schizophrenic? Didn't think so.
