This ridiculously long Dubstep tutorial is to make up for the lack of uploads lately. I'm going to take a break making these for the sake of all of us, considering I barely know what I am doing. I almost never produce Dubstep or even listen to Dubstep and for that reason, the tutorials suffer. I do hope i was able to provide somewhat helpful information overall, though.

.FLP Download : http://www.mediafire.com/?n18ombh8yua4c4u

In this I used:

- NI Massive
- Harmless
- ReFx Nexus 2
- Ohmicide
- VEC3&VEC2 (for one of the rides)
- Albino 3 (didn't really use it, but showed it to you)

*Without these plugins/sample packs, the project file will be missing sound. Replace samples with whatever you have and try your best to recreate anything you've heard. It's probably best to do so, knowing that you won't be the only one downloading this .flp file = everyone sounding exactly the same.

  • i liked the mute idea for gross beat. Idk if you already know, but you can also right click the actual pattern thing in gross beat and create an automation clip like that. Each "pattern/glitch" thing then has a different corresponding value in the automation clip (you can use the copy paste value feature to get the exact one you want)

  • @Mu5ik4Life Thanks! Righttt, i forgot about that lol, only figured that out later after using gross beat that way lol. My bad i guess x) thanks again for the heads up.

  • Thank you so much everyone. These are the comments that keep me going. :)

  • You did a good job, and it's a good start, don't forget to compress the bass, and sidechain it to the kick. The mixer volume knob should duck down about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way on each Kick or Snare hit, this lets both be louder because they will not play at the same time.
