Your words reminded me of a dream I had, around age 10, in which the Goddess did come to me in the form of a witch-crone, and told me she would "come for [me]" at 12 midnight, when the moon was full. She did come for me, at age 12, when she stole away part of my soul....I sometimes wonder how many other transgenders may have had similar dreams.
