Fai x Saku: Fai only regards her as a daughter. Half of the time that Fai is with Sakura, she's busy talking about Syaoran-kun. I mean, hello? The entire series revolves around Syaoran's love for Sakura! Face it: It's never going to happen. Will write more about this couple in Part 2.
Fai x Chii: Why would you fall in love with someone who you created? That's just weird. Fai made Chii to resemble his mother, so that she could comfort his dead brother's corpse. You can't get romantic with someone after that. In the manga, he transformed her into a pool cover and LEFT HER BEHIND in a frozen world to guard an insane crazy psycho murderer -__- That one episode where they went on a date together - a complete filler episode. Since the anime company was making Tsubasa for kids, they were probably trying to make people think that Kurogane and Fai aren't gay. CLAMP never intended for a romantic relationship between Fai and Chii; it was never in the manga. Yes, that episode WAS really cute, but Fai in reality doesn't care for her at all. And Fai didn't give a crap when Chii died. She was made with a feather that had fallen into Fai's world and when Sakura got it back she died. Hideki will always be the one for her. Honestly, this couple is a joke...I can't see why people support this pairing when Chii obviously has another lover in another manga.
Kuro x Tomo: Sure, how they met was cute and all, but there's nothing going on between them. Tomoyo acts the same around him as she does anyone else. There's an overly creepy age difference. Tomoyo looks A LOT like Kurogane's mother. Sure, Kurogane loves her in a way. But their relationship is strictly servant-master. Like I said before, CLAMP always stays true to their crossover relationships. The creators have CONFIRMED that Tomoyo is in love with Sakura. Even though Sakura doesn't quite return the feelings, Tomoyo is fine with that. I will write MUCH more about why I don't support this couple in Part 2. Just you wait!

Kurogane cut off his ARM and left his sword behind without a moment's hesitation because he "wished with all his heart" for Fai to be by his side.
Fai now completely depends Kurogane's blood in order to survive, since he's a vampire. Which means that when the series ends, Fai will stay with Kurogane in Nihon. Even if Fai finds a way to "come back" from being a vampire, he has nowhere else to go, right?
Fai isn't gay just because of how he acts. It's because of his complexity. I simply can't imagine him being attracted to a girl, because Kurogane complements him so well.
CLAMP has established Fai as a cross-dresser and Kurogane spent half of his life raised by lesbians. Need I say more?
If you've read the manga, you must admit that there were significant looks going on between them, especially during & after the Tokyo arc. Let's put emphasis on that page in Nihon, right before Fai punched him.
Just a random mention, the feeding in Infinity was SO hot. I mean, Fai was licking the blood off Kurogane's arm *-*
Look at how CLAMP started out - in high school, making yaoi doujinshi. They've brought us Tokyo Babylon, X/1999, Legal Drug. Even look at Tsubasa's crossover companion, xxxHolic. Every single work by CLAMP has had a very canon gay/lesbian couple, except for Chobits.
Have you SEEN the splash pages with Kurogane and Fai in them? There's always text about them linking their swords forever, changing each other's destinies, intertwined in each other's fates. One of the themes common in CLAMP's works is the idea of soulmates, or couples tied together by fate.
CLAMP's disregard for gender in these couples has led them to write normal homosexual couples into many of their manga compared to other manga (for example, Touya and Yukito in Card Captor Sakura).
At the Anime Expo in 2006, fangirls approached CLAMP about Kurogane and Fai's strange relationship. They seemed quite amused to be asked that!
