This is the Temple of Aphaia on the island of Aegina,Greece. It sits high on a mountain surrounded by forests. It is about 2500 years old and was maybe the first temple dedicated to a female. It was the model upon which the Parthenon was built. A temple built for the goddess. This might be the first feminist sanctuary in Greece. Zeus first brought the female Aphaia here and hense the temple was built. Aphaia was also invisible at roamed the forests.
