joe biden panders. there is already a law its called assault. the problem is not the law its enforcement. now women can go get a restraining order based on "fear" with no substantiated evidence. fathers are recklessly tossed out of there homes without due process. i agree totally that it is a sexist law.

As deplorable as male-on-female domestic violence is, we as a society fail to acknowledge the existence of female-on-male DV, or of DV in same-sex r'ships. VAWA should be renamed the Domestic Violence Act, or Stop Abuse For Everyone, or some gender-neutral name. Its provisions should be expanded to include male victims of DV. (Too late for Phil Hartman!)
