Lake Erie Walleye Fishing 7-25-09

HUGE Storms rolled in, got off the water in time, a TORNADO came through ahead of the cold front! The hunt for walleye continues.... trying to get on in our boat. Finally did it, with Colin's first and the biggest we've ever caught, 7.3 pounds. His arms were ready to fall off but he got it in.

@thecarpetstoreplus Thanks for the comment, hope you caught yourself a big one! This year on Erie has been one of the best years for walleye fishing. I haven't been out in about 3 weeks, blew off the water last time we were out. Hopefully this week. Good luck and good fishing.

I have 18 supersport 120 thinking about going out on erie at maumee bay for the first time .

You'll have a great time. I've had this 16' Super Sport in some big water, it will handle 4 footers easily. We like Erie a lot. I always keep land in view, Erie storms come up quick. Have fun!

Thank you. This old 1976 16' Starcraft SS has really been a lot of fun. My family and I have had such a good time in the 2 years of ownership. Stay tuned- boat will be hitting the water in April for the crappie bite. Can't wait!
