This is a Super Cool Demo using the iPhone 3G with VNET Corps SIPPhone App and having it registered to the Cisco Communications Manager as a Sip Endpoint! AWESOME!!

Now you can use your cell phone without using minutes AND protect your Cell Phone number by showing the office number instead when calling out! Great addition to the single number reach feature already natively included with CallManager v.6x and above!

  • what about after vpn connection.

  • Hi Loftzone,

I'm not sure what you are asking? After you create the VPN connection to your corporate network, you should be able to launch this app and configure as if on the company's internal wireless.

    Good luck!

  • hi candykane,

to use this, you will have to have a Cisco CallManager v6/7 IP PBX. Do you have this currently?

  • I did that with Cisco Call Manager Express 4 on My 2801 Router with Media-5 fone on Iphone 3 and Iphone 4. and i donot need to VPN into the Company to connect to My PBX and VoIP system. It works directly from internet just enable Port Forwarding for SIP server to allow voice communication to happen straight from the internet

  • Ok , now if you could make a small home use SIP call manager and install it off your gateway DSL modem at home you could use your VOIP or POTS line to make calls from wifi hot spots and minimize your minutes RIGHT?

This would fly off the shelf!

    21 years telecom!

  • I find this to be a nice modern app from the old way of dialing into your system and then dialing a secret out bound code and then getting return dial tone and then dialing 9 to make a call from your office equipment,, and no minutes used!! 21 years of telecom and we finally have it!

Hey can this deliver voice mails messages from the office?

  • @407JG he said cisco ver 5 or above. I like it!

  • That is sick!!!

  • Hi I have Cisco Call Manager 3.3 and someone told us that we could upgrade to 4.1 with our existing hardware and that it would support SIP trunking to integrate two different Call Managers over a VPN.

    Was that wrong?

You seem to be more experienced with Cisco that the person that told me this.

  • Hell yeah... lol to the question by candykane haha

  • Nice, I am looking to use this application
