  • thanks for the post... the story of the Tuskeege Airman is very interesting, and its great to see more on the subject! (I just hope they dont mess it up in Red Tails!)

  • My inspiration as I went from a student pilot to a captain on a large jet commercial plane!

  • well these were brave young men and I am glad they are honored now, and tickled this film existed in the late fortiies!

    

  • It took the civil war over 100 years to play out - this started some of the creation of true equality. Some of these pilots were career USAF officers and some retired generals.

  • I don't think this movie played much in the South. It shows that the very basis of segregation, that is that blacks are unable to learn, was wrong.

    It also shows that the people who said Ronald Regan was a racist, were wrong. He could have declined the job.
