@hectorbolshevik i am a supporter of the democratic free world views of President Daud. If the communist regime was the ideal way of life why did they slaughter Daud Khan and his family? The Mujahedeen, along with many other groups, all had different ideals. They went from Protecting their culture and heritage, backed by the GREAT AHMAD SHAH MASSOUD to wanting a complete "Islamic" dominated rule. Modern day, Mujahedeen does not exist, it is the Taliban.

The PDPA regime set forth progressive reforms, including the one hated most by the Mujahideen: giving women equal rights to a man. The "freedom fighters" fought for one of the most barbaric forms of theocracy.
