I agree with you 100%, unfortunately some 9 months after your post, we see the Liberals finding themselves leaderless as a 3rd party in the HoC, the NDP leaderless as the Opposition & CRAP (Conservative Reform Alliance Party - aka Conservative Party of Canada) with a majority - with <25% of elector support.
Interesting times...
