What other songs did The Doors rip off?

Nice!

Did you wake up Jim? I would, if I heard my song being sung like Jose..

Hey Dougal, you got it. I'll look through my Ethnog journals and post some of my favorites. I will need to censor some of them though. Because I DO remember the 70's--at least I remember the times I saw (and in some cases met) the Ethnogs.

Hey saralaughs. Great idea. I don't remember much of the late 60s and most of the 70s so to hear stories of people who "met" us (Gory, Dick, and me -- the three original Ethnogs) would be great. Dougal

I'd like to hear from some more groupies about your experiences with the Ethnogs. I'll tell you about mine if you tell me about yours. saralaughs

Gortex, Like the slo-nu you - bet you still smell like a dog, maybe two. I'll never forget our three dog night. Mik

btw, gory i meant to tell you that i went to college at univ of michigan at ann arbor. Late in the summer of 1977, a band called "Asleep at the Wheel" came to campus. They reminded me of the Ethnogs. I came to believe that they ripped off your incredibly original style if not your actual music. Ever heard of them?

Gory- live - Jim - dead. The juxtapostion of rock's two brightest stars - the image of a long distance runner, Gory, literally dancing on the grave of the sprinter, and celebrating/mocking the once bright flame of Morrison with Jim's biggest hit - "Light my Fire" - his most famous song, and one Jim did not write.

Laselva3--Nice catching that Jimbo didn't write that one. I was tweaking him for ripping off our songs. Speaking of Three Dog Night, those bums ripped off our "Papa Told Me to RSVP" and made it a hit. It's shocking how many hits from other bands were Ethnog's originals. We had a lotta' spies in our garage pretending to be our friends. The price of talent. Thanks for noticing I still smell like a couple wet dogs--it's all in the pheramones, baby!

Gory I'm glad you took my advice to come out of retirement. You should have performed DYF so the world could know that Mojo ripped you off. It seems like only yesterday we were backstate at The Greek imagining where we would be when we were old. I hope that you'll consider an interview 4 my website profiling the power of thought.... Let's trip down memory lane soon with some harmonies. Thanks for dinner; I'm glad we sat in a spot away from autograph seekers....

Hey ThoughtSmithCoach--How can I retire when the fans keep bringing me back! I remember opening The Greek for some cat named Neil Young many years ago. Were you there then? Sure, I'd love to do an interview on the power of thought. I had one last week. But do I need to have one during the interview? I'm not good anymore at having spontaneous thoughts anymore. Too much history. Keep in touch, baby!

Great job Gory. Nice to hear after such a long silence. And you do not still look like a punk!
Let's hear more!

Hey Saralaughs--Great to hear from you. But that was a little insulting telling me I no longer look like a punk. Never forget that Gory Bateson will always be a punk, even if he doesn't play punk music. Later, gb
