@SpiritWolf1944 This is perfect. They made the same mistake to meddle in the middle east. Sure you can destroy them to pieces, but at what cost? My parents where working as a doctor and a mining engineer, yet they barely had any money to survive and send their child to a daycare.
The soviet union was a great idea, but other aspects like the constant censorship and misplacement of money proved to be the end.

The Soviet Union had the potential to be great, but it was crippled by the authoritarian rule of Stalin, which is completely contrary to the philosophy of Communism. The Corporate Elite of The West have successfully spun this period of the Soviet Union as being representative of Communism as a whole, when it clearly is not.
The later Soviet Union suffered from the same thing that is leading to the downfall of the United States now. An over bloated military that has taken precedence over people.
