We have our convention coming up, and those lucky demonstrators out there that will be attending will want to take notes and pictures! "There's a journal for that"!  How about using our onboard journal (the tall one is retiring this month)! Won't that be fun?!

I have chosen to use Love Letter DSP again (so sorry to see it go), and two stamp sets: Artistic Etchings (matches the paper) and Totally Tess (for cool Demonstrator-specific collages).

Not a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator (YET)? That's OK. Photo journals usually have more journalling than photos, and the photos are just accents that inspire, or support, the writing.  You could even create a journal of your card creations and journal your thoughts about how your stamping stills are improving.  OR, it could be used at school to journal your favorite sports team (Tip: The polaroid idea really ROCKS! for getting small, friendly images, into the journal quickly!)  I bet you can imagine TONS of uses for a mini-photo journal of this sort, especially since it's so easy to customize the theme with stamps and papers.  Just think how much fun you'll have!

Hugs,
Audrie

  • WOW Do I like this idea! Fantastic! Thanks so much for the great way to cover the front and back covers. Easy, clever and stylish to boot.

  • @grannybibi I have made a ton of them, and if you change the papers you can get an entirely different look depending on the theme, stamps, or color palette in the papers. Thanks so much for your comment!

  • Could you do another video and show how you did the pockets and tabs?

  • @crops4fun The first album in this series (fathers day nautical album) showed how to do the tabs. I will be getting into pocket fun on the next video that will be posted on July 3rd. Thank you so much for trying this out. Please post it when you are finished so we can see! Hugs-Audrie

  • Did you not apply any adhesive to the front of the cover under the DS paper? I'm going to cover my inspiration journal now. Love this idea.

  • @crops4fun Thank you for your comments! No I did not. However if you wanted to then you could use spray adhesive to do that easily. Come visit again soon.
