The "Jingle Quest" continues. Yes, this second proposal was rejected by the Marketing Division.

There was a sketch that went along with this -- a mini-documentary with interviews of the DREWnetwork music guy (you remember, the hair, hat, and glasses) and the Chief Operating Officer. Long story short -- I got busy with real-world projects -- so I'll add that stuff in a future version of "Jingle Quest."

Brace yourself -- "Jingle Quest" could drag out for five months. We feel it's important to focus in on entirely unimportant issues to avoid the bigger discussions -- such as why we're a television network that hasn't produced any programming.

The footage is all tests from the past three days -- getting to know a new lens.

  • Song doesn't work...too many people give a damn hootenanny:-)

  • All my thanks... I think. I don't know the meaning of "hootenanny." As you know, je ne parle pas francais.

That being said -- VIVA LA RBC!

  • this tune would fit during the closing credits of one of your films where tune #1 is more jingle- like in structure

    like 'em both

  • Reading this I can picture some variation of that tune as some character walks off in to a sunset. So, if ever a day dawns when I've got a character walking off in to a sunset -- I'll think of your note.

    All my thanks, my friend!

  • I used to give a damn or two, but they don't grow on trees you know.

Is this jingle thing solely up to the DrewNetwork or can anyone play? I am in a jingle frame of mind these days and would love to give it a shot. Also, the next installment of the VA Search for Hot Babes for the DrewNetwork is in pre production as in its stuck in my head and won't get the heck on paper.

  • Does everyone have this disappearing comment thing, or is this just some anti-DREWnetwork conspiracy?

Anyone can play -- but I can't imagine who'd want to.

The hopes and prayers of the DREWnetwork offices on all the populated continents of the Earth are with you in the DREWnetwork "Hot Babe Search." Surely you can't end up with worse results than we've achieved here in DC.

  • Sorry but this lacks the urgency, thrust, succinctness and punch that the DN has striven to inject into contemporary broadcasting. Next!

  • my comments always disappear.

anyway... according the the RBC my new catchphrase is supposed to be Two heads are better than one.

But I like this one better

Two hooters are better than one... better right?

  • I take it this is actually the magenta/violet saturation test?

  • Hootennany-According to Pete Seeger, in various interviews, he first heard the word hootenanny in Seattle, Washington in the late 1930s. It was used by Hugh Delaceys New Deal political club to describe their monthly music fund raisers. After some debate the club voted in the word hootenanny, which narrowly beat out the word wingding.

    :)

  • Not actually sure what it means either. Hold on, I'll wikipedia it. Hmm...it can either mean a "thingamagig" or a "folk music party" so I guess it doen't really apply. Just souded cool and melodious along in the jingle spirit. Anyway, we all give a damn. Damn, just doesn't sound as good that way.
