Your statement indicates a complete lack of understanding of the formation of gangs, their dependence on both violence and funding, and how the "war on drugs" has provided both the funding and the basis of violence to insure gangs continue.
IOW, your statement is silly and simplistically uninformed at best.

Hey look an anarchist.
At least you spelled it out for everyone this time.

thanks, great report. it is heartening to see young people taking an ethical stand on this issue. go kids! we're very proud of these efforts, us old activists, makes us glad we haven't given up and relieved that another generation will still champion for an abolishment of this costly, interminable war mentality. may the drug war be seen by all for the travesty it really is and may peace prevail!

How many people have lost their lives here and around the world because of the whims of 535 tyrants + the vast legions of the tyrants followers?
It really pisses me of that "they" do this shit in the name of the American people!

Couldn't agree with you more Chewbacca.
I hope they're against NAFTA "free" trade also. NAFTA probably has more to do with Mexico's problems and violence than does Americas appetite for anesthetization.

free trade doesn't require national "agreements"

So then you must agree that if there are no restrictions on the movement of capital across international boundaries, then there should be no restrictions on the movement of people across those same boundaries?

No government restrictions.

I never understood the appeal of the candlelight vigil. The moment of silence. It reminds me of a mystical religious ceremony. A single leader giving a speech to silent indistinguishable followers. No information is conveyed from photographs of such an event. People passing by at a distance have no idea what it's about. It's easily ignored. What is the appeal?

well to me the appeal is that it's not just a speech behind a podium with nothing visual to videotape. It looks uber peaceful. But sure there are more interesting peaceful publicity stunts. I think you should do one and send me video!
