By response to an FOIA request to Fort Hood, CPIS got the following lat/long coordinates which I turned into maps, satellite photos and 3D moving maps.
What they got from this FOIA filing was maps of 25 landing zones (LZs).
We had thought there were only 20.
Some projected numbers on number of lights and type of aircraft. In this case the majority of flights were for Apache helos. This is only about the Fort Hood training exercise. Nothing about the Fort Bragg exercise which came later.
An indication that a permanent long term arrangement is being sought for using these 25 LZ's.
These LZs are near Cañon City, Divide, Cripple Creek, Victor and Westcliffe; many off Phantom Canyon road and the Shelf road between Cripple Creek and Cañon City..
LZ 201-206 are very near together, so are LZ207 and 208; 214 and 215 are close, and 218, 219 and 220.
