It's actually 3 snakes. A mom and her two babies. The one to the left is obvious and the second is curled up in her coils. Very nice observation.

Looks like 2 snakes. What is the snake to the left? I was to White Butte in July of 1993, I had on the warmest clothes I had with me at the time and I was freezing, and I grew up in ND and I thought it was cold.
