BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge

Last year BICSI kicked off the first-ever BICSI Cabling Skills Challenge during the 2008 Spring Conference. Over the course of three days, 23 ITS Installers and Technicians came together to test their skills and knowledge in a variety of cabling contests. They applied from around the globe, from as far away as Nicaragua and Australia.

The competition was pretty fierce, measured through participation in 6 technical events, and by the degree of professionalism and everyday safety practices each contestant displayed. In the end, one winner was chosen for each installation level. In addition, the overall winner, dubbed the BICSI Installer of the Year, was awarded a grand prize of $5,000!
