pink floyd abandoned an album during the dark side of the moon days. they were going to attempt making an album without any conventional instruments. one of the recordings they kept and used was the sound of crystal wine glasses. it's the intro to 'shine on you crazy diamond'. rather than emulate the sound with synths, david used the original format for his tour.

I've got a reasonable explanation for all this. When David approaches somebody the person in question gets blinded by some unexplained force of light. The bloke didn't see it was David. I bet that when it finally got to him he was like "%#%#%#$% OMFG!!@#!!#@#$!!#" lol :D

Haha, this is hilarious. The best musician ever (imho) himself asks you to play for him and you're like: " Aha, Ok, maybe I'll do it". I'll probably shit myself even if I come close to Gilmour. I wouldn't be able to make eye contact.
