I'm not sure how they drive back the octopus (a water creature) with flamethrowers, but then I was raised with Pokemon. What do I know.

Well, the CGI does look a bit more lifelike and realistic but, yes, I don't think it delivers quite the same level of thrills.

Notice that there is still quite a lot of traffic passing the Ferry Building. Surely if there was a giant octopus down the road the police would have a roadblock in place.
