This single was originally released in 1984. There is also an almost clean variant, but I've been having trouble finding the .mp3 file for it.
NOTE: I do not own the copyrights to any of these songs. All of the indicia, paraphergnilia and various, assorted legal properties are solely owned by Atlantic Records.
I remember the movie...HAD the uncensored version, and ended up with the 'clean' version on iTunes. Trying to get this copied, and face a tough internet challenge in You Tube. lol
I grew up during the time when the Rap genre sprouted...and artists like Steady B, Will Smith (Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince), Biz Markie, etc., voiced their upbringing around this genre. This song SHOULD be remade to reflect the current times to give The Sugarhill Gang and The Treacherous Three MORE recognition.

On the lp Beat Street Volume 2,this was censored. Later in the late 90's,I ended up with this version on The Sugarhills Records Story.

Legendary group and song.
I used to wonder why my buddy down the street always got much better gifts than me. It was because Santa was drunk.
