do u think it would b bad for the speakers if i powered them with a regular stereo receiver that puts out 125 watts per channel

No it will work fine, As long as the amplifier does not cost 100 bucks. But I recommend NAD 372 C. I have a mate who borrowed my amp to the speaker (Ve12) and he will not give it back.. hehe

thanks for the help, one more thing though, you said no cheap amps, i have a 200 dollar sony str-de197, it puts out 125 watts per channel, do u think that will be enough? Thank you again

The amplifier holds very good to your VE-12 man. STR-DE197 has real watts, and gives clarity to your speakers. It is what separates cheap amplifiers from quality amplifiers. cheap amplifiers provide from the distorted sound and destroys the speaker. NP mate

You should try Dark Oscillators - Nero (Original mix) on those. I have VE15-f, and christ it's evil :) Also try Headhunterz - The Sacrifice, that'll rock your babies ;P
