@AntiFormKeyblade Pretty sure Nomura said Kairi is a keyblade wielder. Don't quote me on that, because I can't source it. Just pretty sure I saw him say that.

At any rate, you can't really say what she can and can't do as far as keyblades are concerned. She may have just not summoned a keyblade before Riku gave her one, and hasn't since. I think we'll have to wait until KH3 to really know whether or not she can summon a keyblade

Thats because ventus was in soras heart. This being said it was as if he took ceremony, the keyblade chose him instead of riki when it sensed there was another candidate avalable. Well... Just my opinion then

No actually she PARTIALLY is a keyblade weilder. She cannot master it nor summon it. Only hold others keyblades without it dissapearing back automatically. Aqua never gave her a full cerremony, it was accidental she touched it. But she never did the offical ceremony. Which allows you to one day summon and and weild your own. Instead she can use others but she cannot master any skills with it.
