Got some more work done on getting the truck finished. I think I have the drive line and steering all figured out. Suspension is MUCH improved. Transmission is a lot more simplistic after being converted to single speed but as you can hear in the video the gears are still cooked. I think it's the plastic case of the trans that flexes under load that lets the gears slip.

  • Well mine is custom built so you can't really just got out and buy mine but you can buy ones similar to it that are hobby grade RC cars. Go to tower hobbies dot com and they have about every RC you could imagine. Do a google search to find a hobby shop that is local to you and go check out what they have.

  • It's a stock motor plate for a 3905 E-maxx transmission.

  • SeaVee320, an absurd amount. It's been in Xtreme RC magazine with a photo of my son. I doubt I will ever get rid of it.

  • ouch! :21 dint sound so good

  • @1501HP

nope, that was the idler gear in the transmission losing teeth haha! This was when it was running a 3906 transmission. It has a 3905 trans with the steel idler now.

  • @nickrummy

i thought it had a summit tranny?

hows the custom flux diffs coming along?

  • @1501HP

Well the Summit trans is the same as the 3905 maxx. Only difference is the motor plate and stock the maxx trans is single speed.

No major progress on the new axles. The guy machining them has been swamped. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll see some updates.
