It's interesting to hear her speech again, in retrospect. Politically, she knew what it would take to get it passed, as is evident, by what's going on now; but, economically speaking, she heavily underestimated the cost of such a program. The lowest the government has gotten the Health Care bill to be is over a trillion dollars. This health care reform is a bad idea, if it's as expensive as twice the cost of our overbloated military.

i completely agree with u xeegeex the need to get better senates instead of these greedy crooks who are gonna tax us to death! so they can save themselves from debt and blame us for there freakin mistakes. no wonder people hate americans so much because they think were doing it but really it's our government! thanks to republicians too they control most of the goverment! and pres bush who lets those freakin oil companies raise the prices on us who knows they might even pay him for letting them!
