I was there too. You should've seen his first warm-up toss.  He threw it ten feet over Molina to the backstop. When I saw that, I was like, "We're in for a long night."

It's not Zito's fault that the Giants came knocking on his door with 7 years and 126million dollars. At the time that was the richest contract a pitcher was ever offered...ever. Who in their right mind would turn it down to move across the bay and pitch in a pitchers safe haven, AT&T park. In any event, you stick with what you have. The Giants now are starting to build a decent team and Zito is showing signs that he is beginning to pitch like he deserves that contract.
