  • Even though I'm white, this was the greastest Sit-Com of all time. I'm 58 yrs old and to this day I miss it. What I would give to have any TV station bring back the reruns of this great show. Xxmass

  • banning this did nothing but put all of those black actors out of work. They interviewed the cast and they all were in agreement

  • @juiuur1 Don't ruin another classic with a clummy remake. They don't know how to properly remake old shows in Holly wood, unless its something like the Addams Family or something that takes place in the era its supposed to be in. They need to get it right.

  • @streetsdiciple8 I didn't see it that way in the 50's and I don't now. It's just funny stuff. Enjoy the comedy and don't think about it too much. All comedy makes fun of someone.

  • Go to 222.education 2000i.com to find a Delux Boxed Colletion of "The Amos 'n Andy Show", 44 episodes. Enjoy!

  • I think some of the "BEST" TV shows ever.. Timing.. Delivery.. They were the Greats... To this day .. nothing makes me happier that Hearing The "Kingfish" think.. Huuuummmm..... Now Listen Andy...!...

  • Think about "Martin". He was doing very much the same time of farce that was the measure of "Amos and Andy". His show was very funny. He could do a new version of "Amos and Andy" which would be very successful. There are plenty of black actors today who would make the show work. The original scripts could be used in the time in which they were broadcast or updated. There is nothing wrong with "Amos and Andy". Many people of all backgrounds would get into this show with a better shock of laughs.

  • yeth iz do buba

  • creators Gosden and Correll were white actors who proposed a series about "a couple of colored characters. The series began on the radio in 1927 under a different name, then transitioned to the name "Amos and Andy" in 1928.

  • What did I just watch? LoL

  • the original A/A were white, these guys on tv

were black actors. Matter of fact Amos's real name

was Alvin Childress, Andy was I think, Spencer Williams,

and the Kingfish was Tim Moore. All veteran actors

from the black stage and movies.

  • you know that amos and andy are two white guys painted white?
