A short video staring my baby desert tortoise. It was shot on the Canon 60D using a Canon 50mm F1.8 II Lens. Edited and colored very slightly in FCPX. Feel free to watch in in 720P :)

The music is: "Arriving at the Magic Glade" by Alastair Cameron (http://www.cameronmusic.co.uk/)

  • Great video..Nice shots... Cool little tortoise.

  • @JJBfilm Thanks :)

  • beautiful~ isn't it a sulcata? i love the way he walks :)

  • @leslyluxe To be honest I'm not sure exactly what species he is, he was given to my by a coworker. Actually I don't even know if it is indeed a he or a she LOL.

  • @InfinusMedia I do know it's a sulcata. I have one myself. Please take good care of it! You can't determine the gender until it's at least 4 years old. I recommend that you research on the care information. They do get BIG! :P

  • @leslyluxe I was looking up some information and I think it is actually a Gopherus Agassizii. Because they are native to this area and the owner who gave it to me (and owns both parents) mentioned that they hibernate in the winter time and from what I've read Sulcata don't? I can find out for sure by asking her though. They do seem to look very similar! I'll make sure to take great care of it!

  • @InfinusMedia I thought desert tortoises were darker.. but then again, they are very similar in the shell design. I hope you find out what it is :)
