  • Do you hit it with a coat of clear afterwards?or just leave it as is?

  • @NAMTRIP - Honda cleared it.. we leave it alone..

  • Hi.. just curious, i have a suzuki T500 which is air cooled. lots and lots of fins. i'm trying to figure out how to get inside them. dremel takes way too damned long.

  • Wire brush it out.. and silver paint.. the only way to get deep into the cracks is to hide them in the beginning.. -Rob

  • you need new gloves dude

  • Actually he needs less-expensive ones and more of them.. Those are pig-skin tig-welding gloves.. about $9 a pair..

  • thanks for add this dude.....

  • thanks man

  • @egpg2000 - What else ya gonna do with your time? watch TV? drink a Beer? - It's all FREE.. :^)

  • That is a great job, what kind of machine are you using to buff it with? Is that like a 5 horse lathe engine with a 14" buff? thanks, I always wanted a set up like that. Randy H DSD

  • Buffing aluminum is very satisfying. It looks great, but buffed aluminum will eventually oxidize and look dull- it is just a matter of time. The trick is what clear coat will hold up to the temp extremes and weather.

  • @ABBABeatle It was a valve cover.
