Eduardo C. Villanueva (born October 6, 1946), known as Brother Eddie, is a religious and political leader in the Philippines and a presidential candidate in the 2010 Philippine election as standard bearer of the Bangon Pilipinas Party. Prior to joining the politics, he is best known as the founder and leader of the Jesus Is Lord Church but officially declared his leave of absence as its Spiritual Director during the launching of Bagong Pilipinas Movement on March 28, 2009 so that [he] may concentrate on the transformation of our beloved nation.


He is the owner and chairman of ZOE Broadcasting Network, a commercial TV station currently operated by GMA Network through Quality TeleVision (QTV11). He is also the owner and president of Jesus Is Lord Colleges Foundation Inc. (JILCF), a Christian school in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Bagong Pilipinas contains the "4C's:" Character, Competence, Courage and Compassion, according to Villanueva.

Serving as Villanueva's vice president is lawyer Pefecto "Jun" Yasay, former chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission.


Atty. Lyndon Caña, Bangon Pilipinas National Campaign Manager and also one of the most influential local politicians in the Visayas region. He was a two-time Councilor in Bacolod City and in 2006, was awarded one of the country's Top Ten Outstanding Councilors.

Villanueva said the "sleeping giant" backing up his party have been building its network secretly and silently for two years.

He said they have networks up to the barangay-Precinct level, making them very viable to win.

nag volunteer watcher ako sa ikalawang pagkakataon, nakipag sagutan pa sa mga BEI at teacher's para lang makuha ang ER na ipinaglalaban namin, 3am nasa presinto na till 5am para lang mabantayan ang boto para kay eddie v., ito ang prinsipyo ko at ito ang paniniwala ko, walang makakaagaw nito, patayin man ako? ok lang dahil alam kong nakasulat ang pangalan ko sa aklat ng buhay kayo ba nakasulat ba sigurado na ba kayong ligtas?.
