Richard Hammond, Sabine Schmitz, Chris Harris (and Johnny Knoxville? lol) behind the scenes look at the filming from the Ford Transit Nürburgring Van episode (Series 6, Episode 7) showing the equipment, crew, and stars on and off the camera. I was fortunate enough to be lapping that day and was able to watch the filming and get a few words in with Richard and the crew.

Make sure your annotation bubbles are turned on to get more info during the video.

This was taken April 2nd 2004.

Not aired during the show, they attempted the to break 10 minutes with a VW T4 van as well. Also seen is the Zakspeed Viper used as a lead camera car.

  • Johnny Knoxville? ;) hehe

  • @TooMuchFun243 - Johnny Knoxville is the Stig! Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! ;-)

  • It's cool that you were there on the same day as them, and that you were able to get so many photographs and behind the scenes shots!

  • @Skyline789 - It was cool. They were all very friendly and approachable. It was a number of years ago before the show was wildly popular, so many there didn't even know who they were. I'd imagine now it'd be a circus if they showed up.

  • @ChrisOstberg Some say... :D:D

  • I went to a US Top Gear audience thingamajig here in California last year... it was TERRIBLE, the only cool thing was being able to drive on their shitty track in the rain while everyone was inside standing around for 6 hours doing audience work for free. The OG TG is a classic but whatever they're doing here in the US is ruining the Top Gear name. /rant

  • Love the show! Great "video" ...Thanks...
