How NOT to SUCK at Writing Acceptable Social Media Marketing Articles: Get your Marketing Articles Accepted the First Time
By Clint Maki www.coolcoinsnow.com
As Bloggers we will see the public demand that our standards be raised over the next few years. The public is crowding to the Internet for it's main sources of information. As they do this, they will increasingly demand higher quality when they make their buying decisions.
As our Readership inclines itself to reading short and impactful, meaningful Blogs as their source of information, they will gravitate to the more professional looking and relevant content.
If you want to attract the right people to your business or cause, then we all need to raise our standards accordingly. Your credibility lies in your ability to convey your message correctly.
To help you get your article approved, here are the current general Guidelines that will raise your likelihood of getting published in Article Marketing sites the first time you submit.
For additional information, watch the YouTube video at my YouTube channel: Clint Maki. Here is the link:
1. Your Title MUST Be In Upper and Lower Case Letters
With The First Letter of Each Major Word Capitalized.
2. The article title must not be in all CAPS.
3. One (1) word as the article TITLE is not generally acceptable
a MINIMUM of two unique words is required
4. It is not required that you capitalize common words
such as "a" - "the" - "to" - "for" etc, Most Article sites accept these
either way.
5. Most sites do not accept QUOTES around your entire TITLE.
6. Do NOT end your TITLE with a period.
7. Most sites do not submit Microsoft Word smart quotes in
your TITLE. This includes quotes, apostrophes, double
dashes, and 3 dots in a row. Replace smart quotes with
standard quotes ("x"), apostrophes, double--dashes/or
three periods (...) in a row. It will not translate well ,
Copy your content and paste it to notepad instead. It removes
all Word Document punctuation codes. It is easier to paste your
notepad text to the article site.
8. Refrain from excessive repetitive punctuation in your
TITLE. One exclamation (!) or question mark (?) is enough
to make a point.
9. Use no HTML tags or hyper links of any kind in your TITLE.
10. Some do not allow your AUTHOR NAME or any WEBSITE
URL to be in your TITLE.
11. Your TITLE must begin with the first word flush to the
LEFT of the TITLE submission box. No extra spaces or punctuations.
12. Your TITLE must not be keyword stuffed (too many
redundant keywords used over and over again), but
rather, should read as a natural language TITLE that
any human could easily appreciate. Do not over-
optimize your TITLE .It needs to make sense and flow
with the content of the Article.
13. Most do not allow Prescription Drug names in the title
of your article. You will be treated like a spammer if you do.
14. Do not use slang terms or profanity in the TITLE. Think child-safe or "G" rated
article titles. Spam bots will filter you out and you will waste time and effort.
Keep it clean, Keep it professional. Be relevant to your key demographic. Your efforts will be rewarded with people who will follow you and learn from your content.
