Using iAtkos 7 to install. I changed my bios settings to AHCI. Boot off the disc but I have to hit F8 at the Darwin bootloader screen, then type v- cpus=1 busratio=20. It then loads up iAtkos and I select these settings,
iATKOS v7 Main System
Chameleon v2
/Extra directory
DSDT
AppleDecrypt
9.7.0 Kernal voodoo
Disabler
OHR
Remove TyMCE
nVidia DVI/VGA
AHCI
Intel SATA
JMicron SATA
Voodoo HDA driver
Voodoo PS/2 driver
ext2fs
NTFS-3G
Realtek R1000
Post install-actions

Everything works and I got the Hackintosh working but if I restart it then it will never be able to boot again. I can make it boot if at the Chamelon boot screen I type v- cpus=1 busratio-20. Any advice on how to get it to boot without type v-cpus everytime?

  • you sould use dsdt.aml files and etid com.apple.boot.plist

  • Solved?

  • Leopard isn't 64-Bit. You have to use Snow Leopard... ;D

  • just use windows...

  • Hi. :) You can enable OS X to use all 4 cores and HT! :D For doing that, you need to patch your DSDT! Google your CPU and how to DSDT patch it :) Worked for me with i7 920 ^^

  • That is a quad core processor, using CPUs=1 is telling your machine to only use 1 of the cores!?!

Just buy a retail snow leopard and use your 10.5.8 to format a 8gig flash drive to a boot drive using Cham. There are good step by step guides on insanelymac. After 10.6 is installed you can update to 10.6.2 using mac updates but first remove sleepenable from E/E and replace it with netkas,s 10.6.2 version. Then you can add efi strings and modify your dsdt. This is what I did with a g41m-es2l.

  • use windows?

  • P45, 775 socket.

    P55, 1156 socket.

Very, VERY different in terms of compatibility.

  • I think you said you're running intel, and if you are, I'm surprised your motherboard isn't friend yet from using the voodoo kernal...
