Jade is now 4 and a half, and still loves building block towers. Although now she is talking, and is takingturns and interacting with me.

  • wow, she interects so good with you (and you with her!). she's very smart and so lovely!

  • Thank you, I myself find it amazing how much Jade enjoys interacting with me, and other people. I'd say Jade's only "issues" are with some behavior, and of course, communication. Luckily, she no longer has sensory issues, and really wants to be part of everything going on!

  • Here is what I appreciate the most about this video... you are never coaching her to make it fall, just so you can get the full tantrum on video. You are just enjoying your time with her, playing this game. So lovely :)

  • ALSO..... Jade gets cuter and cuter!!! I love her smile..!

  • Yes I really enjoyed how you focused on the positive aspects of Jade's behavior instead of focusing on the negative. I used to work with autistic adults and recently became interested because of my 19 month old son refusing to speak. Luckily he recently has started to speak some words and with the help of videos such as yours (and a doctor's opinion) have ruled out autism. You seem like a patient mom and your daughter is lovely.

  • I love it! I saw the earlier videos of your daughter, and she looks like she's doing quite a bit better :) She's soooo cute!

  • Hi - I'm interested in learning about autism and aspergers, and wondering if you could answer something for me? You said you still build lego towers. Do you do it because you enjoy it, or feel as though you have to? I hope I don't sound rude, I apologise if I do.

    Thanks

    Jess

  • one of my best friends is autistic. I met her in 7th grade and I remembered I thought she was annoying cuz she wanted to be friends with me but she barely looked at me or talked to me.

she's doing better now and she said when she was little it was really bad. she takes medication for ADD but somehow it helps her.

  • This is a testament to what a good mother should be. This also shows how far an autistic child can come along with the help of a dedicated mommy. Great job Jade, and GREAT job Mom!!!

  • this looks like the perfect game for a child w autim. it teaches her colors and she has fun while playing it
