  • it is very hard to be single in your 20's i just turned 23 today which i know isnt that old to some but when all of your friends are married and have kids its hard to feel young. sometime i wonder what those people have that i am missing, but i remember if i was supposed to have someone hed be here and God has other plans for me. i am trying to humble and patient. somedays it is really hard to do though.

  • I like how all of these guys say dibs and I would marry her, she's probably single because we as men are so disrespectful. I'm only 18, yes she is attractive, but I am like her, waiting for who God wants me to have, it's no rush, yes being single has its lows but it has many highs, and honestly a girl right now would keep me from focusing on Him, I want to share God's love, not just with a wife, but hopefully thousands of people.

  • hmm well i'm 35 & still single, just waiting for the right Christian gal & trusting the Lord, only really felt ready the last year or so though, late bloomer haha....late also coz I only became a true believer in 2009 & so thankful for God's love, mercy, forgiveness & His Spirit changing my heart to follow Jesus. I really like Kari's genuine songs which I only discovered today. Great voice, great songs, great lyrics! :) Gave me goosebumps haha

  • @Living4YouToday You have a rare maturity for just 18 years old, and top of that for a young man....impressive! You are right about not being able to focus as much on God with a partner in your life. I feel the same, I am to be 30 tomorrow actually and am a single mom of a 7 year old boy and though it would be nice to share my life with someone someday, right now I'm enjoying every bit getting to know God better, and I trust that in His own time He will reveal who that special someone will be :)

  • @Living4YouToday because they know that they will most liekly never even meet her

  • @ElectrikkPaperClipxx Words are powerful, how do we know they don't mean it?

  • @Living4YouToday Amen! Living a life centered around God.

  • @Living4YouToday Amen! I coldnt agree more. God knows the desires of our hearts. In the Bible it even say it's not good for man to be alone, he will make a helper suitable for us! I trust GOD. I've been waiting a looong time. I never had a boyfriend before. But God fills that emptiness with his peace and love and patience. God will bring us someone when we are SO strong enough in our walk to not let a relationship take our focus off of HIM.

  • Thanks for this mini-interview. It is good to hear that Women of God are willing to say that He is more important that Me!! Men deal the same way...30 years single has been tough, but His grace is more than sufficient for me and all of us! I have been able to do some awesome things in my life and am encouraged by others who are able to be single and not pull the depressing card all the time. Yes, I struggle with my singleness, but Kari said it...embrace this season while you have it!!!

  • @Living4YouToday i see where youre coming from when you say the word 'dibs' seems to be a way of owning her or something, but when they say that, you know they dont really mean that right? they just say that on the slim to none chance that they do ever meet her.

  • @ElectrikkPaperClipxx It was mainly towards the person who said dibs, it really isn't that disrespectful compared to how most of my buddies talk about women, but these types of things seem to tick me off. Dibs is defined as "a claim of rights" or ownership over. Kind of seems like a word that imposes her as an object. I don't like to get into huge arguments about these things, I'm as guilty as all men in these matters, but I try my best not to since it is a huge issue in today's culture.
