Definitely. I have a friend who plays hardcore airsoft... they only have goggles for protection and they get into open fps games (no limit on fps). No mouthguard at all, just eye protection. He's had one of his front teeth knocked out while playing. Maybe less than 320 fps your teeth will stay but if it's above 420 fps ( accidents can and will happen at close range) for sure you'll need full face protection.

I was hit by 500fps behind the head. yeah it hurts but soon goes away..

I always wear full face mask on ALL airsoft games. I don't think losing your front tooth from a BB going 400-500 fps is cool.

I don't see any fair-play on shoting directly to the head, when you're using 500fps ... or even with 380/400 fps, or less. that's totaly stoopid and iresponsable.

on CQB we use masks ... if you think you're thug enought ... ok .. then go to Afganistan and try something "harder" ... dooooohhh

I wear a gum guard (like for rugby and boxing and stuff) that protect my teeth fine. I can never aim with a full face mask on anyway. BTW switi if your in the uk and your "500fps minimum" guns can do full auto then they are illegal to owne without a section 5 fire arms licenss...
