Researchers in Chile released a series of time-lapse photos showing the dramatic retreat of a glacier in Patagonia. The Jorge Montt Glacier is shrinking faster than any other in Chile, with its snout retreating more than a half mile in a year. (Dec. 7)

. in less than 50 years we will be in it. the extreme rains and flooding are a sign of the coming ice age. these storms in winter would drop huge amounts of snow that wouldnt melt over the summer thus starting an ice build up.

@Korkyboocheck Maybe not on friends and family - but on all the rest of the "strangers" - if orders are given - good possibility. Its not like there isn't any precedent for that kind of domestic military action, both here (Civil War) and abroad... I would hope saner minds prevail, but I worry about the next several decades. Fundamental changes need to happen in this country and fast to stop major civil unrest and possible societal breakdown.

I believe that in the last Ice age that most of anything above the 39th parallel was under glaciers. Is this warming really such a bad thing? Look at what happened during the little-ice age... climate changes! I find it absurd that we as humans can change what has already been done. There is no such thing as average, and change in climate is a way for mother earth to "pest" control.

@uknowispeaksense Gradual? Mate is by far the primary driver of temperature changes. It provides ALL of the heat on earth. Without it's heat the earth would freeze in hours. Irradiance is decreasing due to geo engineering being undertaken in secret. They are creating huge plumes of fake cloud by spraying from airplanes. This is usually called "chemtrails". The heating is caused by project HAARP which litterally heats the atmosphere. I suggest you do a little research.

@EndTheResistance Oh there is no doubt that because of Milankovitch cycles the sun does initiate gradual climate change and that is well established. YOU however, are inferring that the sun alone is responsible for the recent rapid warming. That is by definition YOUR hypothesis easily disproven by the fact that irradiance has decreased yet temperature has continued to rise. How do YOU explain that? Just curious.

@KirstyGC1 good point. mountain glaciers do melt and retreat in the summer, thats what i thought it was. but you're right, that is their winter, which means global warming is probably to blame.
