This is amazing!!!...my cousin and I used to sing this when we were young kids back in the 70's...little did I know where it came from.. I see why so many people loved leadbelly.!!!!!

They had the means to film in color as early as '40, it was rarely used because it was more expensive and color TVs were very rare until later.

I am pretty sure it is technicolor, because I am pretty sure there was not colored TV in 1945.

You completely missed my point.. I was referring to the movie (not the person!!). It was not common in the 40th to shoot musical movies in color but mainly in black and white. I just was intereseted in someone who knew a bit about the movie itself. And no, I am certainly not a racist!!
