Robert Gordon was in one of his usual foul moods during a recording session in Denmark, as the engineer tried to reason with him, trying to get him to do a take of a song before yet another cigarette & vodka break. Gordon, the consummate professional as always, opted otherwise: 'You're not directing this f*cking session here, man, dammit!'. And out he went!

I lost all respect for RG when doing a gig as his lead guitarist back in 2004, the week Johnny Cash died, and I suggested we do a Cash song as a tribute. Roberts reply was "fuck him..." Then he intentionally stopped the song "Loverboy" as I went into the intro and told the crowd I was playing it too fast (which I wasnt!) Later found out he does that to all his guitarists...what a DICK!
That sounds like RG allright. At a show in Randers (Denmark) in 07, Robert shouted, GO BACK TO GUITAR SCHOOL, MAN to the guitarist while he was playing a solo. The guy was in tears after the show -- Robert was his hero. Similar things have also happened at several of the shows that Robert did together with Marco DiMaggio.
