TAL Vocoder Plugin: A Logical Walkthru

Here a vocoder, there a vocoder, everywhere a vocoder. Will the vocoded madness ever stop? Not while Bill Holland is at the Gearwire Studio reins. CHeck out his demo of the TAL Vocoder plugin, a vocoder emulation that behaves a lot like the actual hardware rack-mounted units, i.e., the routing is a bit weird.

I tell ya, the only thing this video is missing are the three silhouettes of Crow, Mike* and Tom Servo.

just fyi if you hook this up without the carrier synth routed into it it wont overide the built in carrier synth and you can get some super sick sounds out of it. its modeled off the roland 350, the same box jackal and hyde use on their live sets. Its pure mmmmmpphhh.. It took me while to figure that out too btw, it's not the most intuitive vocoder around but the sound is amazing, just like you'd expect from TAL :D Lemme know what you think of the built in carrier! cheers :D
